So that's why I was wondering why that scene felt like I was watching 86
No wonder it felt nostalgic. Spearhead squadron!
I hate you, not because of you're knowledge, but because you beat me to showing off my leet Nier knowledge to the tourists.
Mom says it’s my turn to get the likes
I can tell from the quality of this...if only g
You get what you pay for
I hecking knew it!! The scene transitions were too cool to stay unnoticed, thank you for bringing me this piece of news, I have to remember Toshimasa's name from now on
Saturdays are worth the wait.
100% Even without the best animation, I'm honestly seeing Nier at top 3 this year.
Yes Top tier my top 3 for this year Kubo won't let me be invisible , Tomo chan is a girl & Angel spoils me rotten.
Not for me but i can say 2B and 9S are one of the waifu of this season. I'm looking forward for the boss fight animation and theme song for Adan and Eve like the boss in the circus.
This Saturday made me realized that the Resistance and Lily are not genuine human(?). I thought all of them were genuine human until this episode. When i saw Lily got corrupted, i was like can the machine corrupted human as well, it turned out that Lily was not human which is surprising for me.
They already said it early on. There are no humans humans left on Earth. What's left of humanity is on the moon. Only androids do the fighting.
Yeah I was surprised too.
Did all the real humans die a long time ago? This war would be pointless.
spoiler
Wow, you massively spoiled the entire show.
ikr but dont worry theres still alot that i didnt say
even though i spoiled like the main of it. Any person should still complete the story
to me its not how it ends, why it ends. idk what i just said lol but point is the character build up and the fact that they are all robots so in our mind we shouldnt compare them to humans but the fact that we do and see different conclusions is honestly great for me. i seriously dk how else to explain this
It's a little more complicated.
Almost the entire series is that isn't it? Even tho you don't necessarily need to be someone who played the games to enjoy the anime but those who have played them not only see events that were not sort of shown in the games but also get a feel of nostalgia
"would be pointless"
That's kind of a recurring theme in the Nier series.
Humans go extinct in Nier Replicant
Yup
Right.
Yeah,in non-glitched non-laggy version of this episode on other sides we saw a2 at the episode ending
Yeah it was nice for me.
Attack or die
I didnt understood at first how their nier automata logic virus works but it seems to be hardcoded within their blackboxes.
To be exact... If you dont wipe their memory in correct timing they will go crazy(be infected with logic virus) because machine blackboxes have trauma emotions evolved within them, why it is called "LOGIC" virus is because their emotions coming from black boxes get conflicted with their logic.
If we go further with this logic skipping several steps along the way we can say that yorha and resistance arent androids but cyborgs, because of their black boxes.
Attack on Virus
Wow, if I recall, in the game this flashback was all audio or text logs. It's nice to actually see it all play out. Also, did not miss fact that they included Anemone in the flashback, only to kill her off in this version of events, lol...for those who don't know, Anemone, the dark-skinned resistance member, is the current resistance leader in the original game, but her role has been replaced by Lily's in the anime.
It's A2!!! That ending brought a huge grin to my face! I'd actually completely forgotten that A2 and Number 2 were one and the same! xD
(●ˇ∀ˇ●) Also Gogo being sober today is a complete surprise which also puts a grind on all our faces.
a nice change isn't it
Yup
I spoke too soon,
it's only 18 mins so they are drinking again -___-
Oh, that explains why Anemone's name was familiar, and why I swore I had never seen Lily before in my life.
It's been a few years since I played Automata...
So, none of this was mentioned in the game beyond minor text logs about the 14th machine war. This episode is actually an adaptation of the prequel stage play that was released before the game came out. All the characters is this episode were voiced by their live action stage play counter parts.
But sadly, there was no happy reunion for both in the game. A2 had a chance reunite with Lily/Anemone.
No.2 and 2B looks exactly the same.
No.2 and her comrades looks badass and cool.
Extreme spoilers;
YoRHa No.2 Type B (Battle) 2b is a new gen android while a2 is a prototype, and 2b isn't really 2b its just a cover so she could monitor 9s and eliminate him if he ever uncover the truth, her real name is 2E(execution)
So there not the same for real 2A absolutely demolish 2b in a 1v1.
Thanks Dxu145.
I'm still confused 😅😅
Holy!
That's very interesting, I wonder how this will end up.
I wonder what is that Truth?
ya'll could you just watch the show instead of asking people to tell you spoilers? if that doesn't matter much and you can still enjoy it that's fine but it just seems weird to me
It's weird that you care about other people comment that doesn't connect to you at all. If you don't want to get your a*s hurt, then don't read the comment section at all. You're weird, man.
why are you hostile lmao what did I say
Thus, all the rebells are androids?
Yes. its just Androids.
Two fun facts:
1. This episode was based on a stage play which actually premiered before the game released. All the actors reprised their roles here.
2. The episode was storyboarded and directed by Toshimasa Ishii. If it doesn’t click yet - he also directed 86.
